Michael Jackson Memorial
In my previous post I discussed the huge impact the death of Michael Jackson had worldwide, in particular how it effected the internet. Last week it was announced that Michael Jackson had sold in excess of 2.6 million downloads a week after his death, that’s a massive amount of sales, in fact, no artist has ever sold more than 1 million digital downloads in one week. MJ’s memorial is being held on Tuesday 7th July (early Wednesday morning Australian EST). Only time will tell what a huge effect this will have on the internet, with discussion of live web streams of the event…

IE8 OMGIGP
I have to say, Microsoft still can’t get this advertising thing right. They have had to stop showing their most recent effort of promoting IE8. For those who haven’t seen it, you can view the ad here. On the other hand, there’s Apple’s new iPhone 3GS ad promoting the phones video editing function. Note to Microsoft, this is how it’s done.
